(evenly distributed). The 2014-newer Transit Connect fastens onto existing factory bolt. The crossbars is 2" X 1" rectangular extruded aluminum and are protected by non-slip plastic bar guard. Mounting upright are made of 3mm thick aluminum and are powder coated. The Mounting uprights are 8" extra wide base at 10.5" total height. The base is welded complete onto upright post for complete seal. There are 4X 3/4" eyehooks per mounting upright. Rubber caps on the upright post prevent wind noise. The system Includes 1 - ladder stopper to prevent ladder from sliding forward, 1- ladder guide for easy bungee and tie-down and 1 - EZ Velcro strap to secure ladders within seconds (supports up to 75 lbs). System is powder coated for additional protection against rust.
